Based on subscriber request this video explains my background and explains the 5 reasons I was able to reach financial independence.

I learned from the amazing instructors at the Air Force Academy to take control of my financial future.
1. Start now. If you've already started, then start something new such as tracking your net worth or looking into other investments.
2. Automatic investing. If you aren't automatically investing you aren't gonna make it. Take the 20 minutes it takes to set up with your bank or employer automatic allotments to retirement accounts.
3. Buy real estate as you go. Think long term single-family (or multi-family) rental properties.
4. Buy stocks. You don't need to day trade. In fact I didn't day trade at all. I invested LONG TERM in a few companies who I thought had transformative products, great leadership, and future growth. I then held those companies for many years.
5. Move to a low cost of living area. You don't need as much money to live if you can lower your spending. One of the easiest ways to lower spending is to live in a low cost of living area or country. With the world going more and more digital these days, being an expat or a digital nomad is an adventurous lifestyle.
