A Boeing 737-800 of Southwest Airlines lost a piece of its aircraft on Sunday morning, April 7. right engine cover during take-off from Denver airport in Colorado. The falling engine cover also hit a wing flap. On board the aircraft, 166 passengers and 13 crew members, who immediately noticed the accident. After a brief consultation, the pilots followed the procedure and immediately returned to the airport where the plane took off. The engine continued to operate normally and the aircraft landed safely. The fallen piece had in the meantime been found near the airport taxiway. According to the FAA, the passengers and crew of the Southwest flight bound for Houston's William P. Hobby Airport returned safely to the Denver gate without ever being in danger.
