Rich Giordano became a Paranormal Researcher in 2004 when a chance sighting of 3 objects, moving around with seemingly intelligent control, baffled Rich and his wife of the time. It happened again the following night, and the research was taken to another level. On December 12, 2004, Rich captured an amazing UFO fleet. Then in 2005, a mechanical looking humanoid. Rich also witnessed 5 Triangle formations, consisting of 3 lights. In 2006, Rich created The AZ UFO Show with the intention of discussing his evidence. After only a few weeks, the show embodied the attitude you hear on GUFON today. Observing how the main people in the field we looked up to only cared about money, views and subscribers, Rich exposed the corrupt people and organizations who's only goal was to make a profit. There is more to the story, which has become a continual work in progress. From TheAZUFOShow, to the Rich Giordano show, to The Paranormal Code, to GUFONRadioStream, and finally to GUFON, one thing has stayed consistant- Rich tells it like it is, regardless of of whos feeling might be hurt. UFOlogy is bigger than us all. Rich has spent his life studying human interaction and studying criminal psychology. As a result of this, in addition to being raised by a cop, Rich can spot a liar with body language and voice inflection, as easily as spotting bad evidence. Rich calls it "boots on the ground training", and an abundance of trial and error. Rich claims he's made all the same mistakes he sees today with UFO sightings, and wants to impart what hes learned, and teach others what to look for. Another facet Rich displays, is the comedic side of the message hes sending us. The field is noticeably stuffy and paranoid, but with good reason. Ridicule and ostracization come with this career path. For all the paranormal things going on all over the world, how can one not laugh? Bigfoot, mothman and Fresno Walkers? Come on, man! Its comical like a comic book, full of superheroes. Rich takes the serious side of the paranormal world and turns it into something we can identify with and find humor in. Its risky, but thats Rich Giordano. Taking risks, staying current and presenting with integrity. There are not too many people with the experience, the training, and the ability to have an open mind while being cautious or skeptical, and yet still imbue each presentation with a balance of gravity and comedy. If you want to have fun learning about the paranormal, then GUFON is for you. This is definitely not your father's radio show. With 16 years in the field, having made all the mistakes and boasting several successes, Rich Giordano is a well rounded, critical thinker who knows all sides of the field, inside and out.
