Government Doesn't Want Alien Disclosure, Do They?

Our Government doesn't want full alien disclosure for many, many reasons. What would be the reason to have disclosure? I can only think of one reason to have it...War is on the horizon! Why would they want our planet poisoned by radioactive elements in the atmosphere and land?
