Video Description
In September 1961, Betty and Barney Hill were driving through the White Mountains of New Hampshire when they encountered a strange, moving light in the sky. What began as a distant object quickly turned into something far more unsettling, as the couple claimed the craft descended and appeared to follow their car.
After arriving home, they realised something was wrong. Their journey had taken far longer than it should have, and neither could account for a missing stretch of time.
Years later, under hypnosis, both Betty and Barney independently described being taken aboard a craft and examined by non-human entities. Their accounts, along with Betty’s now-famous star map, would go on to shape the modern idea of alien abduction.
Whether the result of a genuine encounter, psychological stress, or something else entirely, the Hill case remains one of the most famous and controversial UFO incidents in history… and for many, it marks the beginning of the abduction phenomenon as we know it.
