Major storms in the South American country triggered a hydroelectric dam to collapse, leading to widespread flooding that has resulted in dozens being killed, and others being stranded on rooftops.
The region of the Rio Grande do Sul is the worst affected, with the region's Civil Defence estimating at least 121,000 people had been displaced.
