According to José Padilla and Reme Baca, they were children when they encountered a mysterious, damaged craft near San Antonio, New Mexico, just weeks after the world's first atomic bomb test at the Trinity site.
Their later accounts described a metallic, avocado-shaped object, unusual beings near the wreckage, and a military operation allegedly sent to recover the debris. They also claimed that fragments of the mysterious craft survived.
The case gained wider attention through the work of UFO researchers Jacques Vallée and Paola Harris, particularly their book Trinity: The Best-Kept Secret.
