Todays video highlights ARK investments 2019 paper on the five disruptive technologies of the near future: DNA, Energy Storage, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain.
Blockchain looks more and more to be the technology that completely disrupts money and contracts. The argument is it will finally digitize money and contracts and free mankind from the hell of bureaucracy. If it sounds too ambitious that's why I approach this asset as a speculative investment. I'm careful to not invest more than 5% of my networth. But I am thinking long term, 5-10 years at minimum. If it works then ETH will be much more than 5% of my portfolio in the future. But at that time it will be a mainstream investment vehicle and not a speculation.
