"On April 6, 1966, in Melbourne, Australia, over 200 students and teachers at Westall High School witnessed something extraordinary. A silent, disc-shaped object descended from the sky and hovered near a nearby field known as The Grange. Described as silver, round, and slightly domed, the object reportedly landed—or hovered just above the ground—before suddenly taking off at high speed.
Some witnesses claimed the craft was chased by multiple aircraft. Others described strange physical traces left behind: flattened grass, scorched patches, and circular markings that seemed almost “boiled” into the earth.
Despite the number of eyewitnesses, no official explanation was ever confirmed. Investigators found little evidence, and the site was quickly restricted.
To this day, the Westall UFO incident remains one of Australia’s most compelling and unexplained mass sightings."
